Conclusion

My goal of this project was to try to be a vegan and to find information about milk. I learned alot of information, some I didn't plan on, like that milk could give you cancer. I thought all that was bad about milk was that it came from an animal, but it turns out all milk has some amount of puss. I also learned how to replace dairy products with tofu. I found alot of great recipies. The easiest was the chickpea recipe (that's why I post it). My research is done for this class, but at home I am going to continue to find vegan recipes. I also plan on learning to make my own almond milk from scratch. I am going to continue to be a vegan, after all these facts it's kind of hard not to be a vegan.

Chickpeas recipie

I was looking for vegan recipes online and I came across this one. It is about chickpeas! YUM! I decided to post it up here because it's fast and good. The ingredients you need are: 1 can of chickpeas, 2 tablespoons of mayo, 2 teaspoons of spicy brown mustard, 1 tablespoon of sweet pickle relish, 2 green onions(finely chopped), and salt and pepper. All you do is mash the chickpeas and then mix it with all the ingredients. Then you just heat it up and put it in a sandwich.See it was easy!

Mad at Fast-foods

I hate it when we go out to eat and a food doesn't have meat in it, but it's contaminated. For example I love subway, but I recently noticed the knife they cut it with. Everything is good until they get to the end. After all the vegetables are in the bread they cut it. The knife has meat and mayo and who knows what. They don't wipe it off after every sub. Another example is when your at a mexican restaurant and your eating rice and then the cooks tells you it had lard. That makes me feel betrayed because I don't eat meat. Yet another example yesterday at the pita place I noticed they cooked the alfalfa where they had cooked the bakon. This one specifically makes me mad because they say the pitas are vegetarian. That's why I don't like to eat out. I prefer my nice home food because I know what's in it and it's not contaminated.

Being vegan for a week

This week I was a vegan. I was very pround until yesterday. We had a soccer game in Iowa city. I left with my parents and went out to eat. In my mind I was trying to decide where to go because I didn't want to eat any dairy products. I usually go to the mall and eat rice or eat a pizza. My mom suggested we eat pitas. I really liked the idea. We went there but I ate my mom's pita. It had cheese in it. It was good because I was super hungry. While I was eating I was trying to stop thinking of what it was and that it had puss in it. So I stoped eating it. That doesn't hide the fact that I ate cheese. Next time I'm not going to eat it because I'm goning to remember the gross facts.

why milk is bad reasearch

I've been researching why cow's milk is bad for people. I was very surprised by some of the things I found. In one website It said that every milk has some amount of puss and blood from the cow. In another website I found out that it can give you cancer because farmers inject this bioengenieered hormone into the cow. This hormone affects cell growth causing quick growth in humans or any other animal. Cells are instructed to die or stop dividing so that the creation of new cells is matched by the death of cells and no net-growth occurs. If this is prevented then cells don't die at the right time causing uncontroled cell division (cancer). The point is milk can cause cancer.

Vegan food

Mostly anything you want to replace as meat use tofu? That's great, but my mom always makes fake meat out of flour. She just gathers a big ball of dough and leaves it with water over night which then becomes textured. There is also tofu icecream tofu cheese tofu everything! To replace milk you can use soymilk or ricemilk or (My first choice) almond milk unsweetened. Almond milk contains the same calcium and vitamin D percentage daily values as cows milk. To replace eggs in baking they say use a banana. Eggs are bad in the first place because it has so much colesterol.
